If you are an individual who cares about developing nations who are in critical need of the support of OWB.
Every little bit helps.
With ongoing hurricanes and tropical storms forecasted, Operators Without Borders is ready to send volunteers to rebuild water and wastewater infrastructure. Funds limit the number of teams that can be sent on disaster recovery and training trips. Although the utilities we help are asked to provide accommodation and meals, OWB generally tries to raise funds for airfares. Deploying one volunteer costs around $1500.00. The CWWA, the EOCP, and other water associations generously donate funds from silent auctions and solicit donations at their meetings. However, additional funds are always needed.
Imagine going weeks and sometimes months with no service. It would be unthinkable in North America, but is frequently the case in many countries.
You can make a real difference. A one-time contribution is most welcome; an annual pledge helps us become sustainable.
If you are a utility organization or private company, please consider sponsoring an Operator or making a donation. If every utility donated $250.00, we would be able to deploy full teams to disasters and restore water and wastewater services much more quickly.
